Experience it with the kids
Eleven days of youth performances, workshops, and play at IK MAAK MEE at the foot of St. John's Cathedral. Ages 1,5 to 10 years.
Thinking of playing on the Parade? Absolutely! There is a sandbox, a Huisje73, a playhouse with blocks, and a spot to decorate your own cape. An open stage where you can dance, sing, or tell stories. And also a free 'Sprokkelroute' (Gathering Route), available at Ik Maak Mee. With this, children set off on their own with an empty map in hand.
Plan your visit
- IK MAAK MEE is open daily from 12:00 to 18:00.
- A ticket for a youth performance costs €9.50 for children and €13.50 for adults.
- You can buy tickets for the youth performances and workshops online or at the yellow Tickets & Info kiosk.
- The toilets are located next to IK MAAK MEE (nice and convenient ;)).
- Read practical information here about the route, map, address, and more to prepare for your visit.
- Round off your visit by enjoying a meal together at Restaurant Lof, where children can dine on items such as chickencocktail, tomato soup, vegetable lasagna, or a mini burger. Or opt for French cuisine at Bistro B with sausage and ratatouille. Prefer a snack on the go? There are also food trucks with ice cream at Ik Smelt voor jou, Indian food at Bollyfoods, fries and snacks at Friethoes, and Italian food at De Garage Pitstop.

Workshops
For eleven days, there will be workshops by theatre makers and Huis73 for various age groups.
These include dance workshops and a tambu (drum) workshop.
In collaboration with Huis73, we are organizing four workshops:
- Move Yourself Happy; dancing together with a grandparent
- Storytelling
- Music with the little ones
- Clay workshop
The full workshop program will follow in early July!
Please note the workshops are in Dutch. To be able to fully enjoy and understand, we recommend only attending if you can comfortably understand the language.
