Summerly, southern, and sensual — that’s what Theaterfestival Boulevard has been for over forty years.  Since 1985, during the month of August, ’s-Hertogenbosch has been a stage for passionate performances and inspiring encounters. Theaterfestival Boulevard presents non-conformist theatre, dance and musical theatre and artistic forms at the festival's centre stage and at unique locations in and around ‘s-Hertogenbosch. During these eleven days, we present around 125 different performances, concerts, installations, and workshops. You can enjoy them in the city centre, neighbourhoods, and the surrounding countryside of Den Bosch. In familiar and unexpected places. In theatres, tents, and gardens. 

Our audience is wide and inquisitive. Boulevard is for novices and fervent fans, for young and old, for an art professional and for a family that wants to go out for the day. Boulevard combines various voices and narratives and wants to be accessible to everyone. In addition to ticketed performances, there are also free events. Every year, we receive 100.000 visitors from all places, including around 800 international artists and professionals.
