Power to the Pipo

Jantina Talsma
Power to the Pipo stands for human electronic music, in which hypnotic synthesizers and rumbling bass lines merge with ripping guitars and pounding drums. Expect an eclectic mix of electro, techno, drum ‘n bass, funk and acid. As long as it grooves hard.

Human. Electronic. Music. Three words that describe what Power to the Pipo stands for. And once you see them live, you will understand why they do not need any more than that.
The band aims to blend the joy of playing, free improvisation, and interaction of a live band with the wall of sound, euphoric connection, and crowd of a DJ. Expect hypnotic synthesizers and rumbling bass lines that merge with ripping guitars and beastly drums, which will make you dance.
With nearly 200 performances under their belt, Power to the Pipo is no stranger to major festivals. They have played at Oerol, De Parade, Jazz in Duketown, and the Vierdaagsefeesten. They have also previously proven their ability to bring the house down at Boulevard. In 2018, they launched their debut album ‘Leipe Shit’ at the Melkweg. In 2021, they followed up with ‘Spetters’, released at a sold-out Merleyn, alongside a selection for the Popronde. This is a band that knows exactly how to turn a venue upside down. Since 2024, the new lineup has become a formidable force, and the band sounds bigger, heavier, and more powerful than ever.
