Looking at the moon from your bed has no price. Plucking poppies neither. We do no pay for the song of a young blackbird. Is beauty independent of income? Not completely. People on a small budget are less able to afford a visit to the performing arts. We think everyone has the right to experience the magic of art. A moon that sings from the top of its lungs. A young blackbird who lays in bed. Poppies who pick bystanders. At Boulevard, you are able to visit art every day, free of charge.
At the heart of the festival, you will find a tower. Beside that tower is a stage full of performances for free. Discover these theatre, dance, and circus performances with the whole family.

On eleven summer evenings you can dance for free from 11:30 PM to disco, (Afro) house, Afrobeats, funk, indie, rock, reggae, pop and hip hop & rap. Every evening a different artist will perform on the Torenpodium on the Parade. On Sunday, August 11, the band starts at 10 p.m.

Context
Boulevard creates a meeting place for everyone. You can exchange ideas about current themes from performances, chat about an experience with a drink, meet makers or delve deeper into a theme by participating in one of the work sessions.
Boulevard Affairs is every day at 2 p.m., a Talk Show at 4:30 p.m. and there are follow-up discussions at various performances.

Every year, with ‘Geef een toegift’, we call on our audience to buy an extra entrance ticket for someone who cannot afford it themselves. In this way, Boulevard underlines its connecting power.
