In Tent Paars, BMX Flatland rider Sietse van Berkel shares a first glimpse into the results of his research into how his discipline relates to a theatrical context. The form that this presentation takes emerges during the process itself. It can take the form of experiments, scenes, ideas in development, or perhaps even the first outlines of a performance. What takes center stage is an artist who steps beyond the boundaries of his own discipline and explores new possibilities.

At four years old, Michelle David was already singing in a church in New York. At five, she took part in her first gospel choir. She toured as a backing vocalist with Joe Cocker, Gloria Gaynor and Chaka Khan, sang on records by Diana Ross, and gradually built a voice of her own that crosses boundaries between generations and audiences. With The True-Tones, she brings a show that begins with her own story and ends with that of everyone in the room.
