Meet the artist

Sietse van Berkel is a professional BMX Flatland rider from Utrecht and belongs to the international elite of his discipline. In 2025, he became European BMX Flatland Champion. His work is characterized by a unique combination of technical precision, creativity, and a continuous search for new forms of movement. In addition to competitions, he gives workshops, develops educational projects, and explores how BMX can function as a means for encounter, imagination, and artistic expression. During the Street Culture Talent Lab, he explores how his practice can develop within a theatrical context.
