Cavolo Nero

The rhythmic complexity of afrobeat, the danceability of psychedelic grooves, and the irresistible appeal of disco, all in one band. That is Cavolo Nero. The six musicians, who met while studying at the Herman Brood Academy, share a deep love for groove-oriented music. You can hear that passion in every song.

They take their inspiration from the hypnotic, repetitive structures of Khruangbin to the warm Mediterranean sounds of Nu Genea and the danceable energy of Jungle By Night. However, Cavolo Nero is not a copy of these heroes; they blend all these influences into something entirely their own. Something that speaks to both the mind and the body.

The band has already proven themselves on major stages. At Eurosonic Noorderslag, Down The Rabbit Hole, Into The Great Wide Open, Wildeburg, and Into The Woods, they showed that their music works both for festival crowds who want to dance and for listeners who want to be immersed.
