Since 2015, the Belgian company Sur Mesure has been touring the world with its own blend of circus and live music. In ‘Barrière’, they place an old barrier at the centre of the stage. Four performers, four instruments, one mission: to show that life is fun while you wait. The result is a playful performance in which trumpet, sousaphone, guitar and banjo blend with acrobatics and pure joy of play.
The artists of Sur Mesure build everything themselves: both the barrier in the performance and the musical instruments are handcrafted in their own wood and guitar-making workshop.

About the artist
Sur Mesure is a contemporary circus and music company based in Belgium, which has been touring across Europe and beyond since 2015 with performances centred on a poetic mix of circus and live music. In 2025, they performed at Boulevard with ‘Protocole’.
