In 'Elke rots wordt ooit een kiezelsteen', theatre collective Plankton creates an intimate performance where a scale model of a theatre slowly comes to life before the audience’s eyes. In this miniature version of a theatre hall, they present scenes that would be impossible to stage at full size.

In miniature, Plankton shows what happens when humans are no longer here. Through the cracks in the theatre walls, branches and plants begin to grow. The back wall collapses. Giant waves flood the space. The model theatre transforms into fantastical worlds we can barely imagine. Plankton takes the audience on a journey through future landscapes: floods, collapses, and the birth of new life.
