We are working on the accessibility of our festival, programme and facilities for people who are sensitive to simuli, together with Stichting Onbeperkt Genieten.

Low stimulus reception Family

On Friday, August 8, we will offer a sensory-friendly welcome around the performance Family by Louis Janssens at 9:00 PM. This sensory-friendly welcome has been developed in collaboration with Stichting Onbeperkt Genieten.

What can you expect?
During the sensory-friendly welcome, there will be extra care and attention for visitors with a low tolerance for sensory stimuli. A separate waiting area will be available so you don’t have to stand in line. During the performance, you can always retreat to this space if needed. A visual guide will also be available to help you prepare for your visit.

Please note:

• The language of the performance is Dutch, we recommend visiting the performance if you have an understanding of the Dutch language
• No adjustments have been made to the performance itself.
• There are twelve spots available for the sensory-friendly welcome.

In addition to our collaboration with Stichting Onbeperkt Genieten, we are discussing with artists which performances we consider suitable for people with a low stimulus tolerance. We pay attention to, among other things, the duration of the performance, the extent to which the performance has been developed in collaboration with people with a high sensitivity to stimuli and the use of theatrical effects.
