In ‘What Stays And Goes’, performers Justin de Jager and Tia May Hockey explore what it means to enter into a relationship with someone. The work addresses themes such as resilience, integrity, autonomy, and the compromises made in order to be fully present for the other without losing a sense of self. How much can I ask? What boundaries are necessary? What can we mean to each other?

Threading is a movement philosophy that seeks out openings to literally and figuratively move through. What began as a concept has, over the years, developed into an independent language and become the foundation of our creations.

‘What Stays And Goes’ is a duet by the collective Threading Theatre, created by Justin de Jager, Tia May Hockey, and sound artist Andreas Tegnander.

This performance will premiere on Monday 10 August at 7.30 pm as part of Boulevard.
