It’s quite understandable, because Sadettin Kirmiziyüz [1982] touches the soul and hits a raw nerve. Key question in his solo: how come identity has become something so all-encompassing today? Trying to find the answers, Kirmiziyüz dissects his own identity. Is he a Turk? His last name would suggest it. But what does ‘Kirmiziyüz’ mean for his four-year-old son’s future?
