Jan Terlouw Junior & The Nightclub is a musical story about a world of sins, blues and pleasure, with a 1920s nightclub as its backdrop. Jan Terlouw's narrative, steady voice and jazzy sounds blend so well that you can almost smell the cigarette smoke of the old-fashioned nightclub.

Location BLVRD Theater
Running time 90 min.
Genre  Muziek

The Nightclub is a unique album born from a long-held dream of Jan Terlouw Junior, the youngest member of a family full of writers and composers. During this performance, you will step into a musical film noir: smooth, dark, sweaty & swinging together with Jan Terlouw Junior as lead singer and pianist, Isaac McCluskey as backing vocalist and trombonist, Jonathan Spruyt on double bass and synth bass, Sascha van Loenen on trumpet, guitar and synths and Axel Grunnekemeijer on drums.

Come along, step out of the delusion of the day and jump with both feet into this spectacle in which narrative lyrics, big band sounds and subtle modern electronics form the soundtrack. In short: take a seat at the bar and get swept up in the story of The Nightclub. Or as they put it in the 1920s: "Come and see that!"

'Broken hearts and lonely souls
Have a seat, you're not alone
Relax and watch the curtains fall
Enjoy the show
When the lights are low'
