Fontys Double Music is a music theatre program that consists of the graduation performances Between two worlds and Nature's Manifest.

Location Huis73
Running time 75 min.
Genre Dans, Muziektheater,  Muziek

Between two Worlds is made on the cutting edge of classical music and jazz and shows how fragile the dividing line between these two worlds can be. Pianist Valèria Blasco teams up with a dancer who is stimulated by energetic rhythms from the United States, Bulgaria, the Caribbean Islands and Russia. The music is supported by images, so that you as an audience are sensory immersed.

With Nature's Manifest, Raquel Pais da Silva creates a performance that brings you into contact with the seven elements of nature: air, water, earth, wood, fire, metal and ether. The performance is based on the belief that nature works instinctively and knows no boundaries. This element of unpredictability adds a thrilling wonder and invites you as an audience to explore your own connection to nature and to reflect on the relationship between humanity and nature. The 7 elements are each presented separately through music, movement and images.

Fontys Theater is an initiative of Fontys University of the Arts and consists of a group of young, talented makers who are given the stage to show their graduation performance to the wider public during Boulevard.
