In Landing on Feathers, the makers put the magnifying glass on the relationship between the caregiver and the care recipient. How do we care for each other? And how does this affect us and our relationship with others?

Choreographer Jija Sohn, performer Aleksandra Lemm, and performer Nica Roses have been researching together with artist Elmer Kouwenberg, whose body was paralysed in a car accident 28 years ago since 2021.
In the performance, the audience witnesses the interaction between Elmer and his care team consisting of dancers. The carers and artists share their perspective on the exchange and relationship that arises in the care taking through dance. Limitations are not only experienced but also recognised as an indispensable part of caregiving.
Landing on Feathers is a performance for those who need care and those who give care and lets the audience experience how to care for each other more consciously and mindfully.
Programme producer Dylan Kroese: "You become aware of the power of touch. During the performance, you start thinking about what do I actually like in terms of touch. About how natural movement and touch is for you, while others can't or don't experience it that way."
English is spoken in Landing on Feathers by Jija Sohn. Following the performance there will be an after talk.
