CONCERTO is the first 'danza canzone' by choreographers Igor Urzelai and Moreno Solinas, a lively combination of dance and song. They previously performed on Boulevard with the performances Idiot Syncrasy, A Room For All Our Tomorrows and Andante.

The two choreographers found their inspiration for CONCERTO in the 'teatro canzone', aka singing theatre by Italian singer, composer, actor and playwright Giorgio Gaber. Using self-composed electro-acoustic songs, Igor and Moreno explore love, relationships and boldness. Sometimes burlesque, in grotesque Italian style, sometimes ironic, dark or sultry. A dance party with knitted jesters caps, fishnet robes and white skirts.

In the performance, Italian is spoken with English surtitles. In addition, stroboscopes, smoke and strong language are used.

CONCERTO by Igor x Moreno will have its Dutch premiere on Tuesday the 8th of August at 20:30h.
