The lively green in this world has a lot to endure. Lay down in the grass, roll in it, sniff it, and you will feel it is vulnerable but can take a hit. Every stem is unique in the rug of life. In Grasshoppers, Circus Katoen takes this piece of green out of the natural habitat and brings it above the ground with the help of planks, robes and their bodies. The audience follows the way grass transforms into an object that is manipulated and controlled. A dose of nature ends up in strange situations—a speciality of humankind.
