DE VROUW DIE ZICH VERSLIKTE IN HAAR ONDERGOED (5+)

Greet Jacobs from company DE MAAN and Salomé Mooij from the visual and puppet theatre collective Dividu, collected forgotten items and used them to build landscapes. She invited children from all over Flanders to look at the creations, make up stories and try to name the worlds.   

In DE VROUW DIE ZICH VERSLIKTE IN HAAR ONDERGOED (en andere onwaarschijnlijkheden) you are guided on the journey of discovery by children's voices who tell their stories and doubts. Nothing is what it seems. Dare to let your imagination speak. Nothing is right or wrong.    

I see…  
… a house with a hole in the floor and a line with laundry.  
Who lives in that hole?   

I see a staircase with a door.  
What is behind that?    

I see a clot of tape with a string on it.  
What is this?    

A cloud?  
A crumpled flag?  
A lost poodle?    

DE VROUW DIE ZICH VERSLIKTE IN HAAR ONDERGOED (en andere onwaarschijnlijkheden) won the prize for 'most impressive performance' during Het Boze Wolf Figurentheaterfestival in 2023 and was thus named the best performance in the Belgian-theatre-of-things-landscape. The jury about the performance: "A simple-looking but refined game, a fantastic composition of sounds and children's comments, of voices and actions in a 'Wunderkammer' that lives and plays."    

For adults, but also fun for children from 5 years.
