About the artists
In 2018, Mary Schroeder and Anne-Julia Neumann founded Hopscotch. They met during their studies at the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque in Brussels. Since 2024, Laura Savolainen has joined the company. She graduated from Stockholm University of the Arts and now performs 'Catch You Later' together with Anne.
Anne is a hand balancer who works with canes, while Mary combines hooping and balance work. 'Catch You Later' premiered in 2021 and was their first joint performance. Since then, Hopscotch has performed at festivals in Belgium, Austria, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Sweden. Their most recent work, #clickit, premiered in April 2024.
