BEYOND

Using ladders of all shapes and sizes, the performers create striking constructions: rotating cranes, arched sculptures, and towering structures. They balance on wobbly frames and turn the stage into a shifting playground. They explore unknown heights, climb, float, and launch into daring choreography. Every move is a risk. Every second counts.

'BEYOND' explores the fragility, absurdity, and power of boundaries – and how we can push them by working together. The performers build with ladders and with trust – always higher, always together.

Choreographer Piet Van Dycke brings together artists from a range of disciplines: ladder acrobatics, acro dance, acro bike, pole dance and partner acrobatics. Under his direction, a performance emerges that is full of tension, rhythm and razor-sharp precision. Sometimes the audience holds its breath in unison. Then follows a sigh of relief or wonder.

About the artists
Circumstances is the company of choreographer Piet Van Dycke. His work merges circus, dance and scenography into energetic, poetic and award-winning performances. After 'Exit' [2022] and 'Beyond the Edge' [2024], he returns to Boulevard with another striking outdoor production.
