A shared sense of wonder
“A shared sense of wonder”
Every year we ask an artist to create artwork for our festival. This year, we once again collaborated with Den Bosch–based artist Rogier Roeters. We asked him to create an image that represents “a shared sense of wonder,” for polyphony and encounter. For the diversity of the festival. For the makers, stories, perspectives, audiences and emotions that we bring together.
We are proud to present the 2026 campaign image! Our in-house designer Karin Jonkers of Yell&Yonkers is responsible for the design.
New names 42nd edition
At the end of March, we already announced that beloved creator Schweigman& will return to Den Bosch in August with the new site-specific performance ‘Klei’. We are proud to share even more performances:
Amir Sabra & Ata Khatab - laGeste | Stereo48 - Badke(remix)
laGeste | Stereo48 present ‘Badke (remix)’, a performance featuring ten Palestinian dancers based on the Palestinian folk dance dabke.
Dancers Amir Sabra and Ata Khatab mix hip-hop, capoeira and contemporary dance into it, exploring what their folk dance has to say today.

Lost Dog/Ben Duke - Ruination
The British company Lost Dog tackles the ancient myth of Medea in ‘Ruination’, approaching it with a dose of lightness and humor. Dancers move effortlessly between spoken text and movement. Live music, ranging from pop to opera, sweeps you from one moment to the next.
The result is a performance that both unsettles and comforts, makes you laugh and then brings you to a halt.

Stormkamer - De Salon tussen Zorg en Zuchten (Lijn73)
During Theaterfestival Boulevard, Stormkamer presents ‘De Salon tussen Zorg en Zuchten’, a performance that addresses the pressing question: how do we care for each other in a society where we increasingly seem to stand opposite one another? Care is one of the most important aspects of our lives: everyone needs it. We care for our children, parents, friends, neighbors, and ourselves. Yet the word often evokes mixed feelings.

Linde Schöne - Linde Schöne Is Mislukt
In the new Tent Blauw, Linde Schöne presents ‘Linde Schöne Is Mislukt’, about what it is like to be the promise of 2017… in 2026. About turning 30 without achieving your goals, whether in your career or love life. And about what comes after failure.
We asked Linde what you should not miss:
“What visitors must not miss are the songs, which are more honest than pop and catchier than cabaret.”

Post uit Hessdalen - Ballroom (5+)
For ‘Ballroom (5+)’, you take a seat in a converted truck. Inside, visual artist Lodewijk Heylen has created a concrete set, in which juggler Stijn Grupping creates an incredible dance of bouncing balls.
Accompanied by musicians Jochem Baelus and Frederik Meulyzer, he takes you on a wordless journey.

Schippers&VanGucht - NERGENS
Is there such a thing as an experience you cannot share? A feeling that words cannot quite capture? And if so, what does that do to us?
After the short film ‘ERGENS’ (2025) for children—which sparked conversations at festivals and schools about the need to be seen—Schippers&VanGucht now present ‘NERGENS’.
A new 360° film experience in VR for (young) adults (12+). ‘NERGENS’ is an invitation to pause and reflect on what connects us and what is lost when connection is missing.

Gershwin Bonevacia - Casa Bonevacia
Gershwin Bonevacia is a versatile artist: poet, writer, musician, and podcast and theatre maker. In 2026, he received the Gouden Ganzenveer, one of the most prestigious language awards in the Netherlands.
This year, he will appear at Boulevard for the first time.
