Corpo Máquina/ Evangelos Biskas/ V | NL
Dream, dream, dream, dream. Live with your eyes closed. Some can do it in a half-sleep. Others claim to be able to catch dreams in a net. The Big Friendly Giant made this his job. And Evangelos Biskas V made a dance performance. He uses his absurd dream images, moods, and intentions in a solo dance performance that fuses theatre, dance, and music into a beautiful, dreamy whole.
A mix of experimental hip-hop, contemporary dance and improvisation. Evangelos develops an original movement language that moves between bizarre isolations, uncontrolled looseness and an organic 'flow'. He won the Moving Forward Young Dance Makers prize in 2016 and was nominated in the same year for the Jacques de Leeuw prize for his graduation performance Eternal Chilling.
This performance is part of Expedition Cement, the summer program in which Festival Cement presents its selection of makers visiting a number of hospitable partners: Theater Festival Boulevard, Theater De Nieuwe Vorst, Verkadefabriek and MU. Check out the complete program at www.festivalcement.nl.
